Using HoldMyCamp
Supported parks
HoldMyCamp covers BC Parks and US National Park Service campgrounds whose reservations are handled by Recreation.gov. Directory visibility, availability checks and automatic holds are separate capabilities. Each campground shows its current support; an unverified product is not represented as fully supported.
Immediate openings
Live results are a point-in-time check and can change. If a matching opening is available, HoldMyCamp links to the official website so you can book it yourself.
Watching and holds
After you start a watch with automatic holds, HoldMyCamp can try to place one matching option from a trip’s acceptable alternatives in your connected official cart. Dates and site selections are alternatives, not an instruction to hold them all. Provider restrictions, account verification, connection failures or competing bookings can prevent a hold. Unknown availability is not treated as sold out.
You complete payment
A cart hold is not a paid reservation. Review the official site, dates, party information, fees and terms, then pay before the provider’s timer expires. HoldMyCamp never submits park reservation payments. Reporting completion in HoldMyCamp is your report; it is not independent proof of an official booking.
Controlled deployment
The service costs CAD 9.99 for BC Parks or USD 9.99 for US National Parks per trip; a trip is all the dates and sites you watch at one campground together. Watching costs nothing until a booking really goes through. You save a card when you start the watch; nothing is charged then. When we hold a site for you, the fee is only held on that card. It is charged once, after you finish the booking on the official website. If you don't book, the hold is released and nothing is charged; a hold you don't report within about a week is released. We never charge more than this fee, and never twice for the same trip. One authorization covers one watch at a time. Stopping a watch that booked nothing keeps the authorization unused (nothing is charged) for your next watch; you can remove your saved card at any time. Park reservation fees are paid to the park on its official website, and the official provider’s rules and reservation terms apply.
Refunds
Within 7 days of the charge, if you are not happy with a service fee, or have any question about a hold or a charge, email holdmycamp-support@tryailab.com to request a full refund. The refund goes back to the card that was charged and usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. The fee appears on your card statement as HOLD MY CAMP. Park reservation fees are paid to the park and are refunded only under the park's own cancellation rules.
